Headlinr respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have when using the Headlinr app and related services.

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Headlinr is operated by KallTech. If you have questions about privacy or want to request access, correction or deletion of your data, you can contact us at simen@kalltech.no.

2. What data we collect

We may collect and store the following categories of information:

Account information. This may include your name, email address, profile picture and account identifiers used to create and manage your profile.

Profile and social activity. This includes information you actively create or share in the app, such as concert cards, comments, likes, follows, saved events, preferred genres, profile details and other activity linked to your account.

Tags and social connections. If you tag another user in a concert card or other content, that tag is stored so the tagged user can be shown in the content and notified about it. Follow and block relationships are also stored so social features, ranking, discovery and safety features work correctly.

Location-related data. If you choose to use location-based features, we may use your location to show nearby venues, concerts and recommendations. We aim to use only the level of location access needed to provide these features.

Notification data. If you enable push notifications, we may store a push token and notification preferences so we can send relevant alerts and updates.

Technical and usage data. We may collect technical information such as device type, app version, operating system, crash logs and limited usage metrics to improve app stability, performance and security.

3. How we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage your account
  • show your profile and user-generated content
  • provide social features such as follows, tags and discovery
  • display relevant events, venues and nearby recommendations
  • improve app performance, reliability and safety
  • send notifications you have enabled
  • respond to support requests and account deletion requests
  • prevent abuse, misuse and unauthorized access

4. Legal basis for processing

Where applicable under privacy law, we process personal data based on one or more of the following:

  • performance of a contract, when data is needed to provide the service
  • consent, where you choose to enable optional features such as notifications or location access
  • legitimate interests, such as improving the service, preventing abuse and operating the platform securely
  • legal obligations, where required by law

5. Sharing of data

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data only where necessary with trusted service providers and infrastructure partners that help us operate Headlinr, such as authentication, hosting, database, storage, notifications, analytics and related platform services. These may include providers such as Firebase, Postgres-based infrastructure and other technical services used to run the app.

We may also use third-party music, venue or event-related services where relevant to operate app features.

6. Public content

Some information is meant to be visible to other users of the service. This may include your username, profile details you choose to add, concert cards, comments and other content you publish in the app.

If you are tagged in content, you may remove your own tag inside the app where supported.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to operate the service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.

If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize personal data where reasonably possible, except where retention is required for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access your personal data
  • correct inaccurate data
  • request deletion of your data
  • request restriction of processing
  • object to certain processing
  • receive a copy of your data
  • withdraw consent for optional features

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or disclosure. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. International data transfers

Some service providers we use may process data outside Norway or the EEA. Where relevant, we aim to use appropriate safeguards for such transfers in accordance with applicable law.

11. Children

Headlinr is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use the service without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we may notify users through the app or by other appropriate means. The latest version will always apply from the date shown above.
